Welcome to the Depressive Illness Screening Room

Approximately 21 million American adults suffer from a depressive illness each year making it one of the most common mental illnesses in the country. The symptoms of depression can severely impair an individual’s ability to function. Sometimes these symptoms can become so severe that people may lose their jobs, have very impaired interpersonal relationships or even wind up in the hospital. Although, when a depressive illness is diagnosed it can usually be quickly and effectively treated.

The following self-screening test will help you to learn if you may be suffering from one of these illnesses. In order for the test to be valid, all the questions must be answered. You will receive your result at the end of the screening. Referrals to health care professionals for a free review of your results will also be provided at the end of the screening.
