HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE AN ANXIETY DISORDER?

The American Psychiatric Association has developed a set of specific inclusion and exclusion criteria in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual that will help a physician determine whether you have an anxiety disorder or not. In general, people who feel anxious either for no apparent reason or out of all proportion to current circumstances, or who feel chronically anxious or unreasonably fearful, should seek a psychiatric evaluation.
