Like adults, many children and adolescents are faced with obstacles throughout their developmental years. These bumps along the way may result in strong feelings, emotions, and behaviors that affect their lives and their loved ones around them. Parents, caregivers, siblings, extended family members and friends are often worried when a child or adolescent is having difficulty coping with a certain situation, is feeling hopeless or sad, is having a hard time sleeping, attending school, or getting along with a peer or family member. Although these hardships may sometimes seem impossible to overcome, there is hope and the good news is, they can be treated.
