Afflicted with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Marc shares his personal experience and insights on dealing with this difficult condition.

In the video, Rollin Gallagher, M.D., M.P.H., President of the American Board of Pain Medicine, explains the physiology of pain. Aaron Beck, M.D., the “Founder of Cognitive Therapy,” provides treatment strategies to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression and relieve the body pain that these illnesses can cause. Judith Beck, Ph.D., is featured with a patient using cognitive techniques for pain and depression management.

This film, broadcast on PBS stations nationally, profiled everyday people who experienced depression and tells their stories through their own words.

The documentary also explores the different ways depression can manifest itself, including both emotionally and physically. Individuals may not receive appropriate treatment because the physical impact of depression can mask the illness. The film also examines how family, friends and communities are impacted by the depression of their loved ones.
